DJ Chamber waxes on Taiwan’s EDM Scene, releases global remix tour, ready for MASAGO

Theo ‘DJ Chamber’ Cox is a man on the move. Since his August SparkJam interview he’s launched his Worldwide Remix Tour, a series of remixes representing dance music from all over (listen below), published a thoughtful and productive article on Taiwan’s Electronic Dance Music scene, booked more sets in The Philippines and he’s on the bill for Spunite’s MASAGO (馬沙溝音樂派對) beach dance massive this weekend in Tainan. All this while holding down his residency at Brickyard in Kaohsiung, kill it Chamber!

In the three years since I first began touring in Taiwan, I have seen many positive changes in the direction the electronic music scene is taking. Slowly but surely, more and more events are choosing to play broader styles of music. A healthy music scene is one where any taste or style can be catered for. The array of live bands in the country seems comparitively much broader and more eclectic, but it feels as though the DJ scene is a little further behind.
