剛剛在新聞上看到了爵士鋼琴家Dave Brubeck 過世的消息 ….
其實當初開始接觸Jazz就是因為聽了他的 “On your own sweet way”
有點不捨…如此天才的殞落 那今晚就來聽聽他的專輯吧….

When I was in my early teens I stumbled upon Jazz music like finding a field of gold just under the surface but right in front of me. Like many discoveries at that time, it was an epiphany. Within hours of grooving through Cab Calloway, Duke Ellighton, Miles Davis, and John Coltrane I heard the song ‘Take Five,’ composed by alto saxophonist Paul Desmond for Dave Brubeck’s album “Timeout.”

Brubeck is a Jazz Icon and he will be dearly missed by musicians and music lovers everywhere. In tribute, and pure Cool and Western Jazz eargasim, I’ll be Taking Five, for the foreseeable future.
